When you sign up, Aaron W. Bateman collects your email address, the time you signed up, and a record of your consent to receive site and book updates.
What happens to your address
Your signup is stored in Neon, our database provider. When email delivery is enabled, your address is shared with MailerLite to send a welcome email and updates about this site, Aaron’s books, and related work. Your address is not sold.
Your choice
You can unsubscribe using the link in any email. Unsubscribing stops future marketing emails. A minimal suppression record may be retained to respect that choice.
Keeping the form reliable
The site uses a one-way keyed hash of your network address and email to limit repeated submissions. Raw network addresses are not stored in the signup database. Rate-limit records expire from enforcement after one hour and are periodically removed.
Questions or removal requests
Use the reply address in an update email to ask about your signup or request removal. A direct contact link will be added when the site launches.
